Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.

I would go for the role. You should be focused on your own career goals. Every team is understaffed at some point every year, but that doesn't mean you should hurt your own career because of it. If you get the offer, since it is an internal move, you could see if there is any flexibility on start date for the switch so that your current team can fill your spot. Acknowledging that your current team is overcapacity and that you don't want to screw them over will make you look like a team player and might help your reputation on the new team.
Your team isn't thinking about you, so you should think for yourself.
When it comes to internal mobility, you must procure blessing from your current group. Otherwise u may end up losing both. Right timing is not necessarily when an opportunity arises but when you near the end of your analyst/associate contract.
If your Current MD is powerful I can guarantee you will have a very difficult time moving internally.
Thanks @lazard1 very helpful.
@associate1 your two responses are sending two very different messages.
Sorry I meant you should pursue the role but do it very carefully and even consider external opportunities.
