Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? I’m pretty good at Salesforce and have thought about a SFDC admin type role, but that’s all I’ve thought of so far.

How do you deal with a manager who expects 3 months of work overnight? I have tried structuring , creating a plan to show him how the activities are being executed. However, he seems to be someone who turns around every other hour to ask ‘Is it done’? I am usually pretty good at managing expectations but having a hard time conveying how unreasonable he is being. Despite being organized, I am coming across as scattered and jumbled since I have been working 15+ hours with no food and break daily

Did first set of redlines for a partner. Have ten years experience doing what this partner does but I am new to working with him. Said I did about a 7 out of 10 on that job. I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account.
