Any idea if 21st Jan is a holiday for us Deloitte folks?

Outside of salary, what other things have people negotiated as new hire, I’ve seen more PTO, working from home, sign on bonus, even stock options? How have you negotiated these things especially if you are new to negotiating? Any books or references that gave you a great foundation. I’ve been on my job search from sometime now and getting more interviews, I’m willing to take a pay cut, but wonder what else I can ask for outside of more pay? Thanks

I’m in a little of a pickle but a good one. Offer A. Established “start up” doing well financially and projected to hit profitability. 130k base. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Titles are different which is why the pay is much different. I know some may think it is a no brainer but offer A allows me to grow the department ground up whereas offer B id be apart of to just different

The notice period at my current firm is that of 3 months. Job offer for attorney position in Raleigh at USCIR. The offer is 65k and the hiring attorney indicated that 65 is the max. Has anyone had success negotiating higher salary or increased benefits (eg maternity leave, PTO, WFH, etc) - 3 years of experience in immigration law

EY 🐠 - potentially starting with the firm soon, and my partner is due to have our first in April. Given the 1 year service requirement for leave, would I have the option to take PTO during birth and use parental leave after my 1 year of service? Appreciate any guidance here

What are some easy to make, low stress holiday meals for a school holiday staff party? I was "volunteered" by our principal to set it up this year (🙄). Hi, I am currently working at Bisleri in a quality control role with 6 YOE. My current CTC is very low (4 LPA) and I have not found any motivation or growth in my role since COVID. Advice for studying for CISA? I’ve purchased the CRM, QAE, and Hemang Doshi’s book. So far I’m having trouble reading through the CRM because it’s so detailed that everything seems important and difficult to retain. I’m an incoming new hire so I think I should read the book even though I know people who have passed with only QAE (they were previous b4 interns)
