Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I am a high performer at my current firm but they started questioning working arrangements of folks based on the new members who are huge in-office folks, fast turnover within the team, etc. This wasn’t an issue when I first joined.

I was interviewed for a perticular customer, which went well and also received an offer. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. However parent company still hired me and now they're in process of allocating me in some other clients. Sometimes i feel insecure about this situation. How to cope up with such cases?

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). For staff/seniors in public accounting. Would you rather be paid 1 1/2 for your tax season overtime hours or would you prefer to wait for a big fat bonus check at the end of the company year? Starting to realize that the workload in Public Accounting isn’t bad, it’s fitting it in after 8 hours of back to back meetings that’s the tricky part.

Thoughts on getting CFP when done with CPA (1 test left) and pivoting from audit to personal financial planning? Estates, taxes, savings, etc. Or should I just stick the OG plan and go into industry FP&A when I make senior/CPA?
