You're 10 years away from Partner, why worry about it now? I'd be more worried about not getting laid off.
You're likely better off asking a Partner you know. This is pretty sensitive data and it may be hard to get partners to answer on here.
First year partner will make nowhere near that range in their first year drawings, even with bonus.
Google will give you an idea of "light at the end of the tunnel". Very simply, average partner will make $1-3 million
Yeah agreed with most of the comments about it being different when you start which is why I asked about first year since the buy-in, firm performance etc. is a factor also wasn't sure how variable salary is with equity holding partners. @mck 1 good point. I have talked to a director about it at my firm but since she isn't equity holding its hard for her to provide information. Not to mention not everyone will talk salary specifics unless you're really close with them.
BCG1 is correct, partner answered similar question at q&a session
At least in Big 4
Don't forget the buy in
Yeah, that fat loan is gonna hang over your head the first few years.
OP, talked to an SM who was on the verge on making the decision. Partner vs director. According to him only after performing well for 5 years do you see anything over a mil.
^ must be very firm specific then...
