So I’m planning on leaving my position before school starts, but the application and interview process has been slow. At this point I’m afraid I won’t find a job until late July. Should I let my school now and let them post my job as an anticipated position? I’d hate for them to have to find someone last minute, but I also want to keep that school as a fall back just in case. What is the average amount of time to fill a role? How long in advance should a recruiter start working with a hiring manager to get their position posted? I think it depends on the industry but curious to hear if there is a national average and if that number is even realistic given the increased number of roles in the market. Hi all! I was wondering if you can share your experience balancing work and interview prep at the same time? Work has been super demanding and I’m trying to prep for interviews, but I have no time except for the weekends (even then my time is extremely limited because I don’t want to completely ignore my loved ones, and I try to catch up on some sleep here and there).

Have a start date coming up and need to give notice ASAP to make my start date. Just got a call from HR saying I passed my background check but nothing officially in writing. Do I wait or can I give notice tomorrow?
