Go to La Jolla cove or delmar beach
Juniper and Ivy, Craft and Commerce...for after dinner drinks, Kettner Exchange
If you're there more than a couple nights and don't mind not being in DT, or near water go get drinks at polite provisions on 30th and Adams
Eddie V's in La Jolla (on the cove)
Go have dinner at hotel del.
For ocean views specifically, go to George's, The Hake, or Coasterra.
LaJolla cove
Everything above plus after dinner cocktails at noble experiment
Jake's in Del Mar is great. Otherwise I'm taking my boyfriend on his first trip to San Diego this weekend. We are doing tacos in OB on sunset cliffs, Little Italy one night and La Jolla one night, get gelato at bobboi in LJ and go down to see the sea lions at sunset!
Def La Jolla cove area.
If it's mating time I don't recommend La Jolla cause it smells like sea lion shit. But otherwise I def recommend.
The best restaurants are not on the beach in my opinion. Ya gotta pick one.
TA1 I think it's actually the sea gulls and their shit that stinks. But you'd think It was the seals bc they're all on the lower cove rocks. I second Adams avenue area. I personally like mayahuel on Adams and like 27th.
D1 that's possible too as I guess there are more seagulls when the sea lion population is high. Either way I grew up and spent 25 years in sd and don't recommend that time of year to be in La Jolla 🤢
