Hi all, I am a 4th year chemistry PHD student (International/Indian) and will surely finish in about a year, around Aug23. It can work for pharma (Merck, Pfizer, GSK etc.) as a scientist. However, I recently learnt that consulting firms particularly MBB also hire PHDs from diverse background. I am wondering what steps can I take in a year to do the transition if its possible? Or do I need to get some big brand name on my CV to do the transition?
I always thought I was detail oriented until going into estate planning. Now I’m noticing each time I review a document that I prepared, I missed something. Either forgetting to change something small like a date from rolling it over or not noticing that the paragraphs are justified. Any tips on how to work on that?
Print it and read after you’ve proofread it multiple times in the word doc. Finally, when presenting to client, read it out loud. If you miss an initial or name it’s perfectly forgivable and fixable on the spot to reprint and they’ll be pleased to can do so on the spot.
