I started QA at the company I am currently at 3 years ago. Long story short, within 4 months at the company, I was able to make a career change and step into a PM position. Without having the formal education or PM experience, only my 5 years in QA experience. When I started I made $65k and have jumped to $78k. I have seen other companies post $100k+. Annual review is tomorrow. Should I fight for more or look for more somewhere else if I lose that fight?

I’ve been offered a reporting consultant job for less than 60k and I bring 9+ years of experience to the role. They should be offering more. I don’t want to settle but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to move. Reporting consultants should start at $65k per recruiting sites. Any advice? How can I get HR/recruiters to offer more? TIA

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I’m interviewing with a non-profit tomorrow. I have 5 YoE in non-profit marketing with 7 total for marketing. The role lists a range for compensation between $65-70k. Ideally I’d like to make no less than $75k, but am excited for this opportunity.

I’m an immigration paralegal but I have an MA in human rights. I’ve been working at my org for 2 1/2 years but I don’t see an upwards growth for me unless I go to law school but that is really expensive and it’ll take a few years.
