Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

OP, just be caaaareful not to let people take advantage of your enthusiasm. Your hunger and your passion are great- don't let that become permission for people to disrespect your work-life balance and burn you out.
Your book either isn’t good enough or isn’t landing in the right hands.
Try and send your book to sr. ADs and sr. CWs whose work you like at the shops you like. Tell them you like their work and would love their honest feedback on your book. There’s a better chance they’ll respond because if you’re a CD or ECD at a big shop you wake up every day to 200+ emails and yours will be deprioritized to the point of oblivion.
If they really like your work they’ll pass it along, if they don’t like your work they will tell you to keep working on your book.
If multiple people tell you to keep working on your book then it probably isn’t good and that’s why you haven’t gotten a job.
If multiple people share your book with their bosses, you meet those bosses but don’t get offered the job, then maybe your book is at agencies that aren’t hiring or in the wrong hands at those agencies.
It took me three years of what your going through to get a bad job at a good shop. Then 2 years to get a good job at that good shop.
Don’t get discouraged but if you do get discouraged you should probably quit now because the entire job is about dealing with discouragement.
Like a McCann, 72andSunny, BBDO, R/GA- ya know the ones. And don’t say “oh you don’t wanna work at those places.” You know how hungry a 25 year old is to get their ass kicked and be at an agency that has all the resources to make killer work?
Like right now haha I wanna work the weekends, the 60 hour weeks- I love what I do. I really wanna do it bigger!
👆🏻OP Listen to this person. Excellent perspective and advice
Sounds like you’re doing everything right. It’ll happen!
Sixty hours haha
Yes, that's exactly how I feel. 😩
I feel exactly the same way. I want to work weekends and late and give more while I have the energy. I'm far from burnt out and rearing to go but man I'm hardly getting responses
60 hours made me spit coffee through my nose
SC1 yes, that what spurred my coffee-reaction too. Done a couple 90+ weeks. But now OP is taking my job while I relax? Ooookay. Sounds like a very young “AD"
Maybe your book ain’t beautiful enough. Try some side projects
Yo OP, you in NYC?
CW1 I am in NYC
Not to sound like too much of a prick or diminish your enthusiasm (cuz I do like it), but your book might not be as beautiful as you think it is. I would try to have some industry people evaluate it. In fact, there’s a bowl for that. Check it out and good luck. Keep your head up
OP, I feel you.
I was in the same boat as you but it happened.
I got a job offer at a big agency Keep your head up and keep hustling!
Nice! Well it sounds like we're on the same page. Hit me up at FishingForAPartner@gmail.com and let's get some projects started! 🤙
It’s hard. The truth is, you need to be good at everything because you’re never going to be able to pick which thing you get hired for. Your book probably is pretty - is the work in it any good? If you can’t get a job at 72 or RGA... it probably could improve a lot. Also, meet people - because sending your book around to whoever will take far longer to work than you probably want.
OP looking for a partner myself. Been interviewing at the goodies. Missing the art though. Hit me up!
It seems to help to be in a team...
I put an email for CW7 still waiting...
