I’m a 26F basically starting over, all cities are an option and don’t have a lease holding me back. I’ve always wanted to get into real estate investing and have been tossing around the idea of buying a multi-unit property to rent out and live in. Issues are 1. Am I correct in my understanding that:

Over a certain income ($76k as of 2021), a single person CANNOT make tax-free contributions to a traditional IRA if you have a workplace retirement plan?

In my example, I have a work 401k, and my adjusted gross income is over (or just about hovering) at the 76k limit. This means I can't make pre-tax contributions to a traditional IRA, so I should just go for a Roth?
