I’m getting put up for manager a year early. I have PPMD ,SM, and M support. Pretty much support from all the key individuals on my team and in my service line. Since it is a year early if i don’t get promoted this round I know it’ll come mid year but I do expect a good salary increase still without the promo. Hi all, I am a structural engineer looking to pivot to management consulting. I have a PhD in civil engineering and am a licensed PE. Currently I am not finding my profession fulfilling due to many barriers for progress. I have a strong statistics background and am looking to switch to a fast paced career in management consulting. What are your thoughts on this ? What are my issues here. I think the hardest one is to predict discovery. But I also think we can outsource some of this to cheeper labor and lean on our tech to not actually have to review everything.
