Advice on managing up / enduring toxic deal teams? I’m at the point where my stomach drops any time I see something come in from certain people. Everything is behind, client is unhappy, I’m exhausted and simultaneously being micromanaged without guidance on big-picture/substantive issues. I bagged an offer letter from Global Logic, for Automation Testing, but after connecting with team got to know they are using out dated tools for testing but while interviewing they asked about the latest tools which there in the market.
So can anyone guide me what to do now , is there any criteria to switch the project inside the GL only? How easy is getting to another project with GL?

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .

Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. A CRO offerred me an internal consulting/biz dev role. They offered 145k TC (20% bump) and slightly better benefits. They also offered accelerated path (6mo to 1yr) to MC. While promotion to MC at my current company is at least 1 year away. The job is interesting to me and fits my careery goal. But my big concern is that I've only been with my current company for a year (this is my first job, post PhD). Would this affect my resume in the future in terms of being viewed as "job hopping"?
