A great side hustle could be dating and marrying rich. That’ll pay off big time.

Thank you so much for the lengthy response! I will take a look at the moving average, and give it a shot with a paper account first, which is a great idea!

Another approach is limiting your spending. Buy groceries in bulk at a Costco (they keep the cost low) or BJs, cook more instead of eating out. I no longer pay for cable or streaming services. I use websites such as StreamGate. tv to watch any sports game. I use apps such as Cinema HD V2 to watch any show or movie. All of those combine help save a few hundred a month

I was introduced to a group of entrepreneurs that taught me how to monetize my everyday expenses by leveraging today’s online shopping trends. The ROI is much higher than what I made day trading.

Im in public. I buy from thrift stores and resell on Facebook marketplace. Make a couple bills a month.

Currently 25 years old.
Goals:
* Own a home in a HCOL
* 2 kids (eventually)
* Retire at 50 on $125k/year.

Envelope math:
* $125k/year would require an investment portfolio of ~$3M.
* Targeting a $2M home (split with partner)
* 2 kids - $1M to raise both (including college fund, split with partner)
* $500K buffer for unexpected expenses
* 33% tax

Therefore, 6.5-7M retirement savings needed. To hit this (assuming 6% return after inflation), I’d need to save ~$110k/year.

How does this sound?

I may lose a job opportunity because of my credit history - what can I do?

Started in *May* - Prior to signing everything, I expressed concern to the recruiter about the credit check. Honestly, it’s not great but it’s not terrible. The recruiter told me many times to not sweat it because it the background check was the main thing. And that we could talk through anything on the credit report. Now HR is telling me they may rescind the offer pending review. I’m crushed. What can I do?

Has anyone successfully negotiated a title? I was looking for Senior Manager positions but applied for some Mgr positions too. I’m up for promo next year at my current job as well. The current industry offer meets my comp expectation but planning to see if they would bring me in as a senior manager. There isn’t a set hierarchy for the team as of right now as they are building the team and I’d be reporting to a senior executive. Any talking points/tips that might help me negotiate?

I quit my old job but am working PT for them till they find a replacement. Apparently they could not get a refund on a flight they booked me and my manager is asking if (not me, but I can see it in Teams) I can reimburse for the ticket. It’s $800, anyone know if this is legal?

I just left a Big 4 firm to Fund Accounting in hopes of better WLB, but now it’s looking like the hours will probably be even worse (60/70+ average weekly) throughout the year. I feel like I was misled during the interview process regarding the workload. Would it be a bad idea to try to return to my firm or another accounting firm? Another industry job? How bad is it to leave a job after just starting? Any advice welcome!
