Anyone else take the CFP this cycle?

Does anyone work/has worked as an AM in the field of Architecture or in store planning? I’m currently in eCommerce/advertising but am speaking with a recruiter for an architecture which would be totally new for me.

Overall I’d like to know how you like the field, the pros and cons etc.

Is the AWS CSA-A cert useless these days? I know at least 5 sales execs (non-technical of course) that got it this year and they’re not even in tech industry.

Perspective. I’m retiring from the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive. I have a graduate degree pursuing a doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP. I’ve been offered two positions that are great and on the human capital team. For someone in this situation where should I be looking as commensurate with my certifications and experience?

He wants to pivot out of banking into FAANG. Any inputs on what areas he can pivot to where his experience will be valued and appreciated? TIA

I am currently working in non tech as an analyst. I have learnt SQL AND Data warehousing concepts. I am thinking of switching to any data related role Data Analyst/Data engineer. Appreciate your views/thoughts on this.
Should I have to learn some more to switch or should take up any real time projects to start a career in the above mentioned fields.

Has anyone invested in a franchise? Is it worth the time as a side gig potentially turning into a path for business ownership?

I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I am also looking to relocate to a different state. How do I go about properly marketing myself to companies that might not take my relocation and minimal experience seriously?

So back in July I went out for a new position at my small company that was rapidly expanding (Account Manager). Was notified that I didn't get the full promotion but was told instead that I was still moving up and was going to be Customer Service/Account Manager Support. The new Account Manager had no customer service experience within our niche industry. I instead had to help help him with all customer service issues.

I feel like I am being taken advantage of. ADVISE APPRECIATED.

Questions about job hopping-
My average tenure at a company is ~1.5 years (with ~11 YOE), but each jump I've made has yielded progressive/tangible career growth.

I'm concerned after my most recent jump (went from a product director to a head of product position at a different, smaller company after only a year) that I've kind of poisoned future career prospects at larger companies.

Any insights on whether this type of job hopping is a complete deal breaker for potential HMs?

Anybody take the leap and quit without another job? I have plenty of savings, just worried about finding the right job after a few months break. Would love to hear experiences good or bad.

Is it difficult landing an in-house position as only a second year corporate associate in big law? I know some people who went in-house straight out of law school and some who had no transactional background but went in-house after just a year of practice. Not having that same luck on my end.

Anyone here broken into real estate private equity from big 4 consulting? What steps did you take to jump into RE PE? What gaps in knowledge did you have and how did you fill them? Outside of the knowledge gaps what other things do you think you needed in order to get into RE PE?

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?
