Has anyone have heard of the design program coordinator role at Facebook? I have an offer on the table for a contract role there. I’m coming from an ad agency background but looking to get out and head into the larger tech / product design space. Is this a good place to start? Any insight is much appreciated!

Hi Friends! I have a situation here. I am working in a startup company where there is no proper process at all. I am now leaving and I have requested relieving letter and experience letter with roles and responsibilities mentioned in that. But the manger is telling that he can provide only relieving letter which I can use as experience letter also. But in most of the companies, they are asking relieving & Exp letters. What should I do now?Tata Consultancy

Yes. They like to keep you hot and get a list of ppl when they know they will have more business but haven’t finalized all the parts. If it seems like a good fit might be worth waiting a little bit but don’t hold your breath.

It’s like dating. Keep your expectations low and if it happens, it happens. You do your part and if it’s reciprocated you can appreciate it the way it should be. If not, grieve for a day or so and get back on the saddle.

Here’s my perspective - as someone that manages a large team and P&L - there are often a lot of stars that need to align to hire, unfortunately. It could be any number of factors: clients waffling on signing off on a new project, margins not lining up with projections, staggering onboarding new team members, etc. At the end of the day, it’s not a reflection on you and, honestly, is probably equally as frustrating to the hiring team.
Thank you for your perspective! I do have to remember to not take it so personal.
