Anyone ever leave a FTE job with full benefits for a 1 year contract? I'm hoping to avoid future regrets - am definitely burned out and under-comped at my current position and we've been losing team members almost every week to greener pastures. I've been at the same place since I started in tech, from an intern to a PM, 6 YOE. Currently managing a peer (!) and reporting to a VP. The contract is for a company I'm interested in working for, but no conversion guarantees and I'm nervous. Stories?

Is it common to offer signing bonuses for product managers? I've only worked in small companies and I'm currently interviewing at a much larger company. With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this?
