Provider, no. Direct boss, yes! The only person that could make my life enough of a fiery pit to push me out would be my boss that I have to report to and need support and encouragement from.
I've been thinking about it, there is one provider who is such a complete ass and provides horrible care and the chairman and director aren't doing anything. It's definitely something I have been thinking about.
Yes, he was horrible. He brought in money though so everyone looked the other way even when presented with proof. The organization was about money and not patient care. Sadly there were good people at the practice who are still suffering today.
Yeah, I know a few nurses who have left their jobs because a doctor or other healthcare worker was mean to them and despite numerous complaints, higher-ups didn't do anything about it.
As of this week! Same story as above. Money gets brought in and so that’s considered more important.
I really, really wanted to but I was determined to out last him. It was a very, very painful year but he was forced to leave the practice. I would document everything and I mean everything.
The fact that no concrete action has been taken is a clear indication that management is either unaware of the severity of the situation or is unwilling to address it. I wouldn't hold it against you if you left. Prioritize yourself.
