I hope you find someone who knows the firm. I don’t but looked it up out of curiosity. It’s an unusual setup with a reported 39 partners and 59 lawyers spread over seven offices — Seattle, Spokane, Austin, Vancouver WA (essentially Portland, OR), Vienna VA (suburban DC), Atlanta, and Fairport, NY (suburban Rochester, NY). That’s a wildly unusual geographic footprint and partner heavy configuration. I would ask a lot of questions before getting involved. I’m not sure how a business plan like that would work.
Bill Dyer is one of the best people I had ever met during my time in the military. Selfless and would be a fantastic mentor. Unfortunately I don’t know a ton about the firm.
Thank you for your service, A1. 🇺🇸
Firm founder Lewis Lee was bought out close to 10 years ago now. Firm was struggling a bit financially but then bounced back and was doing well as of a few years ago.
It’s a very solid IP-heavy mid-law firm in the PNW.
Source: I did not work there but have friends who did.
Great culture in Spokane. Good folks. Litigation group is essentially nonexistent in Spokane. They do some patent litigation, but the firm is very patent prosecution centric.
Salary offer for an associate position a few years ago was normal for Spokane ($130k (ish)) but horrible for all other places for a 3rd/4th yr associate.
Think the firm is doing just fine financially.
