Hey! PwC Deloitte Accenture EY KPMG MBA degree (if it really matters) 3 years in a smaller consulting company, 2 years leading Global and National expansion for two companies. 5 years working in banking and wealth management. Currently a Manager leading the wealth management strategy.
Currently in Georgia, open to relocation to Texas or New York if needed but would really appreciate guidance as well as a referral. Looking to make a pivot back into the industry I have a passion for.

What level are you at the bank and what level at Accenture? There are four MD levels.
Market level commercial banking leader at a mid-sized bank. 12+ years at 2 Banks… last 4 years in current leadership role. I’m not really sure on which MD level… I’d assume a lower level given the transition. My current total comp ranges from 325-400 depending on various factors so not sure how that would translate. I have a few buddies that are senior managers at Accenture and am aware of their specific comp
It might be tough, industry role vs services roles really do challenge your ego
Can you close multiple multi-million dollar deals walking in the door? If yes, pursue MD….if you haven’t before, then move with caution down the MD track.
Fair enough. I close millions worth of revenue for our Bank annually while leading a Market but different target etc… I live in Columbus, OH so there seems to be a lot of opportunity via Accenture at Huntington and Chase. More curious than anything.
This profile will never get an MD offer. This is more like mid-level senior manager at best.
Yea that’d be a pay reduction based on the senior managers I know at Accenture. Appreciate the insight!
Accenture MD here. If the opportunity presents itself, you’d likely land at the lower MD level (L4), and TC would be at or slightly above your current. But MD hiring is very throttled right now, so you’d have to be an obvious rainmaker. You’d be expected to sell 15m-20m (maybe more or less depending on practice area), and oversee delivery of projects.
Also there’s not necessarily a single FS vertical - there’s “Strategy & Consulting”, which has a variety of FS specific focus areas, there’s Tech which also has a variety of FS specific focuses etc. given your current role you might be looking at S&C?
Just fyi
Thanks for sharing. S&C would certainly be the path as I have connections in Tech and am familiar with what they do. I have been curious more than anything due the opportunities I see pop up in my Market with Accenture. I haven’t hit my ceiling in banking by any stretch but figured it’s worth exploring if the opportunity was ever presented. Thanks again!
