Anyone have a good travel agent for cruise bookings? Looking to book an Alaska cruise for my senior citizen parent. Prices over the summer seem pretty high. Looking for agents who may have better discounts or extra add-ons available. TIA!

What’s their budget and which cruise lines are you looking into and are you leaving from Seattle, Vancouver, or other? Princess, Holland, or Norwegian typically have the better routes / access to Glacier Bay although other cruise lines might sometimes have permits.

Travel agents will usually be able to provide onboard credit as opposed to discounts on rooms, from my experience

We did the Celebrity Edge this past July. We did see go into the Bay and it was fab, had one of those rooms with the half window and loved it. We just booked on our own, but happy to chat if you have specific questions…

I think your parents will prefer Holland America and they are the godfather line to Alaska. I second Costco Travel for working with Holland. Alternatively, you can request a Personal Cruise Consultant with Holland (I also have one I can share if you DM me).

I only found one itinerary that sort of fits the bill l https://www.hollandamerica.com/en/us/find-a-cruise/a6e07a/d642

It says scenic cruising for Stephen’s passage but only cruising (no scenic) for Glacier bay. Not a good choice then?

Sooo my nanny fell asleep holding the baby. My husband and I work from home. So, he walked in, saw them and put the baby in the crib.
Ask: Any advice on how to address this with the nanny? Also, it it a fire able offense?

Context: Nanny started full time on 1/24; baby is not quite 5 months old; we are WFH and have cameras installed that are visible (she should know they exist); first time having a nanny

Hi everyone! I am working with my HR to improve our maternity/paternity leave policy. Currently I only get 2 weeks fully paid and then an additional 8-12 weeks at 60% pay (short term disability). I need some examples of companies with less than 100 employees and what your maternity/paternity policy is. Please include company name! Thanks!!!

I feel like a failure as a parent at times - my youngest daughter is extremely anxious about middle school and in the first week has already had two emotional breakdowns. She is so worried about people picking on her and not having friends. I have reached out to the counselor and principal with hopes to get her some support in school, but I can’t do anything to make it better. I feel like I should be able to do more than encourage her but I know some battles she had to fight on her own.

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.
