Anyone have any experience going from Big4 to the office of general counsel for a Fortune500? (Current senior associate, JD/LLM and CPA)

I just joined a non-dream company as a 10+ years experience guy. My friend working in my dream company forwarded a job requirement from his internal postings. I want to give it a try but in case I get selected how hard or bad would it be to quit current company? I want to know what consequences I should be ready to face. Can someone please advice?

Hi everyone!! This is exactly the group I've been looking for. I'll be starting my new (and first) consulting job at ZS Associates at the end of the month and I'm so nervous that I'll crash and burn. I'm very proud to be an ENFP, but the flaws that come along with it (distraction, procrastination, disorganization) seem like a recipe for disaster. Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

What are some of the more common exit jobs that audit managers take?

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.
