Ultimate simp move 😂😂

Hi everyone. A PDM specialist here. Joined Deloitte 5+ years back as ‘Senior Solution Engineer -On-site’.Later in June 2017 all these ‘on-site’ folks got rebranded as PDM. Slowly started to realize how PDM is getting sidelined as a ‘discountable’ group. Sometimes I feel contract jobs are better than being at PDM , but obviously tied up with D for visa related issues. No career progression so far and don’t see any positive changes in the near future as well.I think it’s high time to call it a day.

Dang if you are the primary source of income and your husband is a B4 consultant, you are doing pretty well!

EY - Obviously not. It’s hard to have 2 traveling consultant careers with kids. In fact, it’s flat out hard to full-bore build 2 careers of any type with kids. Dual-career Couples often need to prioritize one career over the over, or periodically alternate whose has focus. It may shock you to learn that sometimes the woman’s career takes precedence.
We followed my wife’s career for 5 years (the final 2 of those while I was in b-school). Then we had 2-3 years that were pretty balanced (and exhausting as a result). Right now I’d say the focus is on mine but the pendulum will swing back eventually.

What does he want to do? Why remote vs local/non-travel?
We would like to live farther from the city so it would be easier if he didn’t have a long commute and to be with the baby. But if you have any hacks or advice this is our first child. I think he’s flexible in terms of what he wants to do. His background is primarily IT and PMO type roles
Twitter!
Is twitter truly 100% remote though? I read their policy more as you have the freedom to choose when to wfh but not necessarily that they’re shifting toward worldwide remote overnight
You talk about 80-100k like it is additional pocket change hahaha. Are you willing to share your income?
It would be a little more than half my husbands current income

I know the IRS is hiring for remote work making 90-100k. Not sure if it’s in your area or anything he’s interested in.

I saw a ton of postings, I think some of them were tax and some where criminal investigations (not sure how that’s done remotely lol). There were others but I can’t recall the titles. I found them on LinkedIn.
