I understand the struggle there - see if your new coworkers can give you any insight! They are usually your best bet at any new place. New coworkers can help keep you busy and even grab lunch with you once in a while if able. Also do some organization in your space with your favorite things like sticky notes, planners, colored tabs, etc. Setting up your space for success will get YOU going and successful. Congrats on the new job and pay raise!!
Set up meetings with people outside of your team to grow your network, learn your team’s process to discover ways to improve it, and research previous projects and initiatives your team implemented to expand your knowledge. There’s many ways you can invest your time, and showing your proactivity and willingness to learn will set you up for success in your new job. If none of that sounds interesting then I would recommend enjoying the extra time you have to relax and rest your brain mentally. There might be points in your career where you’re overworked, and you might reflect back on this time with appreciation.
Are you meeting and exceeding expectations? Get excited about stretch assignments and going the extra mile.
