Not a course but got mentored in data science. It helped me understand how to interpret, segment and manipulate data for reporting and forecasting

like

So in that sense it opens up more opportunities

I got a masters in BI and analytics and it has only helped me be better at my job. I work in strategy and media though so it isn’t required at all.

like

Wouldn’t be a masters per say, more of a continuing education course (thing general assembly type) do you mind if I DM you with some questions ?

It depends what your goal is. Do you want to be a data scientist, or is it to help day-to-day, or other? If yes, to a career pivot, and onto DS, what kind of DS? If it’s BI or media performance (insights and viz) a course helps and would boost you. Anything more complex than that then yes to a course.

@digitalmarketer gave a good tip. You’ll learn what’s going on in industry and the fundamentals.

It’s to increase opportunities outside of standard media buying, help me with my current job, widen my skill set and give me an edge as a potential candidate. It’s so I can say “yes I do media buying and I have the skills and knowledge to optimize your campaign based on how to interpret data”

Currently C level (target promo next summer). Been mostly on finance transformation projects. Worked in strategic finance before that at a f500 healthcare company.
What roles/levels would I be a good candidate for at FAANG/Microsoft/other Big Tech?
No hard technical skills (outside of financial modeling).
I’m also studying for GMAT as t15 MBA is a consideration right now, so I could also try to make the switch after that.

Hello Fishes,

I am a 2022 MBA graduate working at Deloitte as a consultant. I am a part of their internal strategy team (non client facing role). I have a prior workex as a software developer and I am looking to make a move to Product Management.

I want to understand few things
1. How difficult is it to move to a PM role with no workex?
2. I am getting paid decently here, does PM jobs also pay highly (I am expecting a CTC of ~25-27LPA)
3. How to prepare for the interviews?

I’m struggling with the automation tasks I’m given (primarily Excel) but don’t exactly know what programming skills I’m missing to go learn them.

My options are 1) wait it out where I am in hopes to switch to L&E or 2) in house oil and gas industry transactional work. What would you do and why? I figured this bowl being specific to Texas would understand importance of oil and gas industry.

Hi guys,

I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?
I don't like working here at all, but I am not sure whether moving out again in a month will give bad Impression on my resume. Hence please give me advice on this situation

I started a company just under 1 year ago. We sell a product via ecom channels and have done ~100K in revenue with a 60% gross margin.

The first 6 months I was working a full time job. I quit my job to focus on the business full time, and have since depleted my readily available capital. I’m bootstrapping the business with my own funds. I was recently offered a job in my old industry for 80K per year. I was previously making 62K.

Should I take the job?
