What is the manager range at KGS?

I am working at PwC Kolkata for more than 2 years now,
I was promised that my salary will increase and as far as I know Partner has conveyed this request to the HR, but I still have not got any updates , so is it possible that , HR can deny the request, or they ar bound to do so ?. Who decides our CTC and increment ?

TIAA - 17.5 fixed, But HR is very rigid it seems to negotiate.

I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? What were the likelihoods that they would have raised my salary? I had no other competing offers at the time

If one Organization HR told me we will blacklist you. So I want to know exactly they can do blacklist or just showing fear of Blacklist ?

Actually I had one offer of 13 lacs my company retained me with 14 lacs, I didn't want to Re negotiate with that Organization because of Loyalty issue with current organization. So That Company HR scold on me and told me we will blacklist you.

I have an opportunity to leave consulting and go to industry in a 100% WFH role (this is what I’m looking for). Problem is, it’s a contract to hire position. My hourly rate as the contractor would be about $40k more per year, but no PTO and the health, dental, and vision would be through TEKsystems (the recruiter). So something crazy happened to me last week. I was at the airport, and as usual on call after call. I’m going through the interview process with B4 for senior audit position. My salary expecting are around 85k but EY and Deloitte recruiters told me that it was pretty high. Is that true? (Miami location)

I passed CPA and have audit experience but I don’t really understand how industry accounting cycle works :( What does it mean to close the books? Are they referring to 12/31 deadline? Do all JE have to be recorded within this date? How does one close it?
