SHOULD I ACCEPT THE OFFER?

I'm at a target uni for Big 4 accounting. I applied for and received an offer for Summer 2023 Risk&FinancialAdvisory - Technology internship w Deloitte. I'd like to get into Big 4 consulting ideally when full-time. I'm an engineering student - I'm not going to be interested in IT audit. Summer 2023 will be the summer after sophomore year, so I'll be declining the full-time return offer and I'll be looking for a different internship after junior year.

I'm looking to get into production accounting, specifically interested in becoming a production accountant for a media production company. Any tips or advice? Any companies I should look into/reach out to in Toronto?

What big firms let you get to manager and above with an MBA and/or EA for tax?

Does MBB give you a good variety of projects (both in function and industry), and did that help you discover what you want to specialize in (either in consulting or in an industry job)?

Not sure whether to be honest or not in this situation. I have decided that I want to leave my job and do a masters degree. I’m planning to leave my job at the end of June, should I warn my boss now so she can start hiring? I don’t want her to be blindsided by my decision and hiring is very slow at the moment. Plus if they hire someone I can train the transition will be easier? But I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot if they were thinking or giving me a pay rise or promoting me?

Hi everyone. I'm pretty early in my career (just over 1 YOE) & not really enjoying my current role as a Consultant/Developer because of the type of projects I get combined with some mobility issues. I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? Recently received a PM offer with the option of Mountain View or NYC location. Would need to move to either city but have a preference for NYC. Are there any trade offs (network / career opportunities / projects etc) to starting in NYC over the Bay Area?

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

Got my dream job entry level opportunity, 1 year out of undergrad. 70% pay bump, awesome company, extremely interesting subject matter, the hard work paid off. Im without a doubt accepting, but I am now feeling some tangible / physical anxiety over the likely significant shift in my WLB (and life), putting my two weeks in, working at a company nobody I know has worked at, etc. I start in a month. Anyone felt like this before, or have any advice for how I can adjust my mindset?

Worst part about being unemployed is the pity face everyone makes when you tell them. If I hear one more "don't worry you'll find something soon" I'm going to scream. Trying to be helpful is one thing but pitying me helps no one and makes me uncomfortable.
