DFW area - when will the rain stopppppp?

Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

Move to Texas.
Family is from Texas dating back to the 1860s and I’ve been here for 15 years. My parents moved back to Texas and I followed to be close to them. So yeah more of a native son returning home kinda thing.
The other important point is that I moved to Texas to embrace it for what it is, not to try to turn it into California.
Laidback lifestyle and nice people. Tons of eateries and drinkeries peppered throughout.
Will note that rent here, while not SF/NY prices, is still a decent chunk of change if you want to live downtown.

What’s rent for you in SF?
Echoing some of the other points made, SD is not cheap by any means.
You are going to need a budget of $2m minimum if you want to be in a good school district within 15 miles of the beach.
Otherwise you’ll be living out in Poway and nobody wants that
San Diego is great, especially if you are young and single. People are much friendlier and more down to earth than SF.
Look in Del Mar/Solana Beach/Cardiff/Encinitas if you are looking for very upscale but slightly quieter. Look in Pacific Beach if you are looking for more energy.
I just moved here, I agree with D2. I’ve been going out in Pacific Beach all the time and I’m 24M
