Anyone here work in consulting with a Life Sciences/healthcare focus? Looking to make a transition in my current industry focus. If you’re in the NYC area then I’d love to connect in person (coffee, drinks, lunch, dinner, etc.). This also includes LEK, I think my current job makes LEK look like a WLB improvement currently. tyia.

Right now I have been a bit pigeon-holed into industrials and engineering with a bit of LS on the side, looking to move back towards solely LS. At my old firm I was covering Life Sciences, tool makers mostly, however that was more of an accounting-focused role.

I am currently in turnaround consulting, looking to lean towards either some sort of strategy or performance improvement role.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna. I sent the bills with a cover letter to Aetna via certified mail. I am having so much trouble getting a status on said claim. Does anyone here have experience with that and can assist me? Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Will vs Trust:

Which do you use (if any estate planning) and why? Recently talked with a layer on getting a will and they are trying to steer me to a trust.

Demographics for ref: 30, live in GA, unmarried, no kids, no real estate (yet, planning to buy after market cools). I don’t envision I’ll amass a ton of physical assets over my life so really just need to say where my various $ accts go (401k, pension, IRA, etc)

Trust cost was $2,900. Didn’t give price for will.

It just seems to go against what is taught in economics as a sound investment... i guess CALPERS is desperate for yield given how upside down the state is

Question on entering consulting. Worked for a non-profit for six years, entered healthcare tech last year as a CSM, and just got an offer from a life sciences consulting firm. My hope is to eventually get into more broad strategy consulting (MBB or big 4, have connections at both). Would working at a more boutique firm limit or help in the long run? I don’t want to be in life sciences forever but figured it could be a good launchpad into consulting. I’m 30 so not old, but also not young.
