Googling index funds! Thanks :)
Look at VTI, VTSAX, VOO, VTIAX. Understand what they are, what they entail, and go from there. Happy hunting
Thank you!
If you think we’re all getting 3 week vacations and it all returns to normal invest in a couple weeks when things are worse. You could setup your account and move money, but I’d wait a bit longer to actually buy. If you think 3/4ths of the companies and people will be bankrupt in 30-60 days you might wait until the economic Tsunami hits us and see which companies sink and who swims. The market is extremely risky for short or long at the moment. When you go long look for companies that you think might do really well. I happen to know Costco, Walmart, and Amazon are booming right now. Stay away from luxury brands like Tesla, anything to do with travel. You gotta make a strategy and believe in it. Once you put your plan into action you might lose 25% before you make 80% that’s why you have to believe in it. It’s a big risk buying a bear market on the way down. A lot of risk adverse folks are holding cash at the moment, waiting. You can also look at dollar cost averaging if you want to put a little in at a time. Trying to find bottom is a fools game. We all try and fail. I personally wait until we’re starting what I think is a recovery to make large purchases. I’ll lose a little gains to catch a long upswing. I’ve been trading for 3 years, no expert. Just offering some starter tips. I hope you do well my friend.
Thank you! This was super helpful.
OP go to reddit and look up the “Wall Street Bets” subreddit. Do everything they do.
Bad advice - never follow Wall Street bets! Go to r\investing and r\StockMarket if you want to read genuine discussions.
What really matters is what kind of stock trading you want to do. If you want to invest and forget then index funds are best. If you want to be more involved and really make some money then you have to do more.
UPRO but carefully it’s very toxic and definitely gambling (not investing)
$SPY as mentioned and $MTUM for a momentum ETF that traditionally performs pretty strong against the market.
Thank you Huron 1
