I heard that for SA and M, there are MBA and non-MBA cohorts. It all comes together at D
Sa3 MBA Boston $140k w mba
M3 Smaller city 150-160 without MBA. But I was told that cohorts are the same regardless of MBA... presumably an MBA would just be a higher cohort.
About 120
Really? So we have a lot of SAs making more than a lot of managers?
Yes, when I was a manager I made more than some directors, the bands overlap
SA tops out at 118 now
So mbas come in at 118?? No way
My top salary as a mgr was 203k
Nope. In NYC SA tops at 123 now and MBAs come in at 135
@SA that can't be right, can it? New MBAs start at $140K, unless they came in as managers now.
@PwC2, so new Mbas come in as managers? If SA tops out at 123K?
M1A without MBA in Chicago is 126
My bad, 118 is the standard for the high end. 123 once you factor in COL
In the longer term it all evens out. MBA campus hires come in as seniors @135/140 but their raises are less significant compared to experienced hires. So by the time you're a 2nd or 3rd year manager, it all evens out
@P2 how does it even out when there was an opportunity cost associated with it?
So I'm an SA2 but have an advanced degree (terminal) in related field but not MBA. Also 10 years experience. I'm anticipating a promotion to M. My years of experience I think would be M2. If I'm in a 3rd level city (Miami, Atlanta, etc) any ideas what I should anticipate. I currently make $112,000.
You must be like an SA2D or something then right? I thought it was SA1- $95, 2 - $100, 3 - $105k (for tier B cities)
Maybe the fact I had pretty solid (industry, but only somewhat related industry) experience put me to 112. I feel good about my SA salary. Curious about what my promotion (to manager this year 80% likely) would mean. Last years salary increases sucked for most. But I think I will leapfrog M1 and go to M2 based on total experience.
