Anyone know what partner comp formula and trajectory looks like for firms with sizable ECVC practices? Gunderson, Cooley, WSGR, Goodwin, Orrick, Perkins Coie, Silicon Legal, Fenwick, DLA, Latham, etc.

For example, have heard that WSGR partners are immediately equity partners, Silicon Legal are non-equity partners, Gunderson is on a points system, Perkins provides significant incentives for originations, etc. but looking for more precise details. Thnx in advance!

Can only speak to Goodwin. There are two tiers here. Not sure exactly how the comp works tbh.

like

Only one tier of partnership at Gunderson, all equity. Don’t know how the comp works.

like

One tier Cooley

like

You can see whether one tier or two on NALP.

All equity partnership at DLA too, comp distributed on a points system. My impression is that of counsel are more or less equivalent to non-equity partners at other firms. Lots of transparency which I really like.

Thnx. Any specifics on how the points are calculated? And is ballpark of counsel comp $600k to $700k starting, maxing out at $900k or $1M based on tenure and hours?

Hi all. Need an advice. I got a job as front end developer in pharma advertising agency 3 years ago. Started at 65k yearly salary. Next year got a raise to 80. A year after I was told I am good to be senior front end developer but my manager asks me to wait a whole year without title change or salary change just because he has been asking to much for me. Is it normal? Or should I just switch? Thank you all
