Anyone knows the expected comp and career progression for senior business manager role at capital one? Glassdoor shows base of around $148K and bonus around $25-30K, seems quite low but the work seems kinda interesting.

That’s low? I’ll take it.

like

Actually that sounds about right on salary for a business manager In Richmond

like

Think of it like this: you're looking at $170K TC based on glassdoor, which is notoriously all over the map. That still puts you close to your total target comp; if you can get an actual offer I'm sure you can close the gap through your interviews on base + signing.

It's worth applying

like

Yeah, plus with a performance + COLA increase at year end you'll probably hit 200 TC in a year anyway

Just a general background, I was analytics lead for a few years, have MBA from M7, and second year at S& post MBA role. Total yoe ~10

like

That sounds pretty dead-on, esp. considering Covid; what $ were you thinking of?

I guess I was expecting somewhere closer to 200K in TC but maybe that’s not realistic

Location? Based on what I've heard, HQ in Tyson's has one pay band, NYC and SF are something like +18%, and Richmond and Dallas are -18%.

It’s in Dallas, and their pay seems to be consistent across locations as you mentioned

Just started in-house and my days are full of meetings with little time in between to analyze or process anything. Is this typical? I keep taking lots of notes but haven’t had a chance to really review and reflect on my notes, to follow up and investigate or do any strategic or legal analysis. Lots of on the fly work for now. Maybe it’s like this just the first few days where I’m getting the lay of the land? But I suspect it’ll be like this for a while… Any tips appreciated.

My company has given me a promotion without a raise. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Little background:

Asked for promotion in late 2020 - was required to skill up, after skilling up, asked again about when I'll be promoted and was denied because there is no "vacancy" for it.
Got my annual hike in Oct 2021 without the promotion. I asked HR last week again and got a random announcement email saying my promotion is w.e.f Oct 2021. ( and no raise for the newly promoted role).

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Hello people,

Need some inputs!

When I file my ITR, it is auto-populating the 'income from other sources' by 40k and increasing my tax liability by 10k however form 26as shows no tax liability.

Should I edit the header to Rs. Xx which is below 10k hence tax exempted and stick to info as per 26AS?

Thanks a lot!

This post is an alert message for anyone joining the Johnson & Johnson EMEA account for SAP & had Rakesh Sharma for their Manager round.

He is nothing less than a con man & will promise you a lot to make you join the account. After that he will put you in testing projects. If you ask for a release, he will either not release you or release with a very bad rating and influence other project managers to not take you into their projects.

You will be left with no choice other than leaving TCS.
