I’ve worked the last nine years for my state legislature as an attorney analyst, drafting and analyzing proposed legislation. I’ve primarily worked on health professional regulations. Next year, I will apply for student loans forgiveness under the public service program and would like a change. I know others who have gone into lobbying/government relations, but I would like to find other options to pursue. I’ve never done billable work so not sure if law firm life is for me. I have an offer from Amdocs and CSG. As SDE1. In amdocs i would be put in healthcare domain (c++) and in csg i would be working on the RnD department on a cloud based technology (c++, .net, c#, aws). Which one should i choose as reviews for both companies are good on Glassdoor. I have almost 3yoe and i amoving from a service based mnc. Any advice would be helpful. Only thing is i am not that kneen on moving to Pune. But apart from this what other factors should i consider?

I’m sure this won’t come across well but I have to say it… my husband and I make good money (about $600k combined) and are grateful for it but these Biden tax increases are going to kill us. The truly rich don’t get hit hard meanwhile it sucks to be an upper middle class family. No matter how much I make somehow my take home seems to keep going down.

I don’t say much on Zoom meetings, but I will nod along with every single person.

How are folks thinking about permanent life insurance? 45, making let’s say for example (not my exact numbers): $1M per year, not yet vested in pension. Was thinking need to replace the post tax take home, about $550k NPV’ed at 5% to age 55, so that’s like $3.2M.
