Yes. Two kids. We didn’t get past deductible but still spent less Money overall

Yes, the difference in premiums for us (fam of 5) is enough to fully fund our HSA so we only lose if we have roughly between roughly 8k and 10k medical expenses. Window might even be smaller haven't done the math yet this year.

You could make the argument that we win regardless as we can choose to not use the HSA funds and let them grow tax free plus get CC rewards on the spending.

What do you mean?

We did the same with two kids... Based on the numbers I’ve ran, it makes more sense to pay OOP.

+1 on the credit card points!

Honest input request. Recent company role overhaul & total comp package revamp, cutting my 6 figures made last year down by 30k, and they added in support calls + prospecting + team lead. Pay day saw a 2.5k take home drop This month. This helped low performing staff increase their income, and pulled top performing folks like me into the red. Do I have any negotiation points here? Each year I’ve been here earned 23-50% more per year. Other than jumping ship, what are my options?

Had an Excel assessment yesterday as the second to last step in an interview process. I was using a new computer and long story short, had some technical difficulties (or maybe just my own incompetence under stress) and ended up only getting through half of the test. I’m on the fence about emailing my recruiter and explaining the circumstances/asking for a retest. Don’t want to come off like I’m complaining but also don’t want this to be the reason I don’t move forward. Any advice appreciated…
