Hard work still. But overall a more friendly and collaborative environment. Less agressive competition. You are in control of your career and you do need to move that fast through the ranks. Not the up-or-out situation as B4 (I'm a former big four auditor). There are Senior Managers that have stayed in that level for years by choice, and you see older people in ranks other than partners. It also depends on the office and your group. DC (Tysons), Chicago and Philadelphia are good offices. NYC apparently has a lot of turnover based on my perception.

Pondering. How many creatives struggle with the imposter syndrome. And even though you get into this business because you have talent, how do you stay true to that and not listen to the haters/ cancel culture that makes you feel like an imposter. I feel like I’m not alone, but I’d love some advice on how you guys paddle your own creative canoe.

Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
