Depends on your level tbh. Early career, there is absolutely no structure and project work is thin but I’ve seen a lot of SMs and above been brought in, given a bag, and given a practice or area to build out. FSI and Healthcare are the most developed with the most work. Anything else will be very entrepreneurial and lots of firm building.

What group at D are you in now?

My firm was acquired late last year and we’re still going through integration but they seem ok. Definitely better than Genpact. Benefits aren’t on par with consulting though. You’ll only have 3 weeks vacation until year 5. I’m a director level at my firm which equates to director level at NTT

Spoke to them in London a few years back. Didn’t get a good vibe and they seem to focus on IT delivery

Hey!! People... Would request all the CA, CMA and CS professionals to join this bowl. So that people can share vacancies in Industry and refer each other...Bcoz after working in big 4 after sometime...we all know it's not possible to continue 😂😂!!

Please share with your friends as well

While Indian consulting folks supporting the US folks do the bulk of the analysis, churning out the data and making the ppts, all the US folks do is attend meetings. Most of know basics of neither Alteryx, Power BI nor Tableau, while everyone in India is expected to know all the three. Most of the times we are expected to work till their afternoon (our Midnight)

(POV: MC in one of the Big 4)

PS: Also let me know if it's not the case in your BIG 4 company, I will gladly join it 😉

Graduated in 2020, wanted to be a graphic designer, took a job at a startup in a social media role. The boss called me the "r" word for not handling entire 13-ish accounts roster well by myself. I quit. Found a role as social media specialist. Realized (again) that I hate social media. Moved to in-house mktg manager, only to be a glorified graphic designer / someone to call the city to cut down trees. I job hopped too much, I feel my portfolio is empty. How do I restart again? I feel defeated.
