I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

They are greedy. All they care about money. What happened to the traditional job agreement? We pay you enough so you don’t starve but not too much to make you rich.

I don’t know if they are necessarily better, but they are probably more confident and ambitious when it comes to consulting type profession.
I don’t think negotiating itself is a measure of an employees quality. Some of the best never try to negotiate, but then they’re more likely to leave for a higher salary elsewhere. A good employee who negotiates is more likely to stay longer term.
The results of the negotiation do speak to quality though - the ones that are successful in negotiating are better than those who are unsuccessful. If you try to negotiate and get told no, your company is basically saying they’re cool with you walking.
In large consultancies it's highly unlikely you'd be able to negotiate anything as everything is grade based and decisions taken by several partners in agreement
