Yes, has always been this way. Just enter it under the certifications field on LinkedIn.
What?! No. EY doesn’t allow it in our work email signatures but they’ve never said anything about our LinkedIn profiles. I would honestly ignore it if they even tried that. I work for them. I’m not a partner so they don’t own me.
Seriously? It is my LI profile.
Yeah, we are in the same boat. Took it off the email (because to me it doesn't matter as much there) but keeping it on LinkedIn until someone makes a threat.
Yes, just don't do it.
Formally with Berkshire Hathaway they allowed it on email and LI profiles as long as you designate what state your active cert/License is maintained.
Yes PE owned firms with an alternative practice structure require this.
Rising Star
Yea well I mean they are no longer CPA firms
Anyone know why?
Because they don’t want clients to know who is a CPA and who is not. I guess they think the clients would want a discount if the work isn’t being performed by CPAs.
That’s what people have said anyway. My firm is still a CPA firm and doesn’t have PE involvement, so I’m an outsider on this whole ordeal.
