I more often run into this feeling when using the urinal next to colleagues.
Don't stress about it. Look at it this way: you are there to learn, and getting a smaller deal done requires the same skills as the larger one. Chances are, you'll get to do more on a smaller deal anyway since it will be less overstaffed.
But it is high profile and big - everyone wants to be part of it
Yeah but you’re under the microscope in those situations and everyone up the chain feels the pressure. I’ve been chewed out when things appear to be going the wrong way just because the MD isn’t going to yell at himself. However it is a nice resume booster.

I used to be in a similar boat as you - kept getting staffed on smaller mandates that no one at the firm cared about. I worked very hard on those files and took on associate level tasks (my associate didn’t care). I impressed a couple of senior guys and later had the courage to ask them to get staffed on larger, complex files. I’m now the go-to analyst in my group.
