Find a significant other who supports, motivates and makes you happy. That’ll solve most of your issues.

It’s not too early or too late. Just a suggestion based on what’s worked for me

Don’t choose work over family/spouse.

Wherever you are, be there. Work hard when it’s appropriate but when you’re with people you love, give them your full attention. Find a hobby you can occasionally engage in to keep you sane. Try to enjoy all the little moments. Also, when you’ve found the one, kids are pretty darn rewarding as well and change absolutely everything

Comparison is the thief of joy. Do what feels right for you.

Listen to your gut about what fulfills you. I think you’ll find that over time your priorities will change. Continue to adapt your life to fulfilling those new priorities and you’ll be just fine.

You should leave PwC.

All about who you spend your life with. Personal opinion is that having a spouse/partner who works and makes decent money takes a huge load off the both of you. Much easier to be chill if you both make 150k vs one person killing themselves to make 300.

My marriage is beyond repair I think. Husband just said we keep having the same conversations over and over in the past year about things we’ve been trying to fix. Is a year enough time? 11 years together for reference. And I don’t think his statement is true - he literally mentioned one of those things last week that he was happy about. I just can’t do it with these vague statements in arguments.

I am so tired of my sister and mom, and the pressure they apply on me to get married, 32 year old female and I have not met someone yet. I was in a relationship last year for a year and he turned out to be a very mean person and they now don’t trust me at all and want me to marry the first nice guy I go on a date with even if I have no attraction at all, and if I go on a couple of dates and I don’t feel it, they question my judgement. I feel like dying from the pressure.

Question for the married 🐠- Have you ever gone to couples therapy? If so, how did it work out for you? Did it help and do you now live your life happily ever after? Or did it just delay the inevitable and you are no longer in a relationship with your significant other? I’ve seen so many people go to therapy only to end up breaking up shortly afterwards and dropping some serious $$$

Is it okay to disappear from friends & family to work on career change goals (several months)? I want to focus and not get distracted by friends & family needs to see me or attend certain things as it takes up a lot of time. I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. Any tips on dealing with the irrational?

Anyone here adopt a puppy during the infertility struggle? Husband and I considering it to have something positive throughout this situation and thinking the extra companionship would be helpful. I work from home. Husband has had many family dogs and lots of experience with it, I’ve had a family cat before. But not sure if it’s actually a good idea - wondering if it would truly help make us feel better and keep our minds off of the struggles or if it would just add extra stress. Thoughts?
