As someone first starting to qualify for the CPA exams. Which program should I use to study for the CPA exam?

I used BOOST CPA Review as my textbook and video lectures ( much shorter and more focused on the primary tested topics for each exam) and Becker for multiple choice and sim practice only

like

Check out SuperfastCPA. It’s a supplement to courses like Becker. I don’t know if I would be done studying right now without it

like

Yes, I found his study methods and the app to be very helpful. When I started using it I ended up studying less hours every day (~4 hours down to ~2.25 hours). I also started to learn the material better and score better on review questions. As far as the app goes, I mainly just used the multiple choice questions when I was at the gym or during commercial breaks when watching TV. I really use the review notes too often and although I did listen to the audio notes everyday in the car, I didn’t think they helped me that much because I had a hard time focusing on what he was saying (I’m not a great auditory learner tho). Hope this helps and good luck!

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

Subject matter expert with my CPA. I’m completely fed up with the compliance aspect of public accounting Tax but don’t mind the technical side. Does it make sense to become an attorney to get out of compliance work and still do something related to specialty tax?
Or do I just go the college professor route? Wouldn’t mind working @ BNA or something like that either but I’m seriously fed up with everything about tax compliance and can’t keep doing this

California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first? I need to pass by mid June, else my REG score expires, hence the rush to resubmit the re-application.
