McKinsey & Company I am entering in the interview rounds with McKinsey and wondering if anyone had tips, online course advices or materials to share!
Also would anyone be interested or knows anyone to do a coaching session that has already worked in Mckinsey? Thanks! McKinsey & Company @

It's tough to make this leap. Your experience is relevant in that you understand the expectations and culture of consulting to some degree, but it depends somewhat on the firms you're moving from and to. If your experience is more technical, that's going to be your "value add," so you'll likely be placed on a technical project (i.e. SAP implementation) to learn/provide more general support (e.g., pmo). So the question is what kind of management consulting do you want to do? Somethings (e.g., corp dev) will require more/different experience to get into.
D1, appreciate for your inputs though it’s hard truth.
Agree on the statement that understand expectations and culture of consulting, been working at Accenture and Deloitte.
As for “value add”. From SAP job role, I’m on the functional side of finance. Means, to interact with business user (Accountant, finance, manager, or above) to understand their requirement, explain the translation of their requirement to systems, and to configure it myself / collaborating with programmer (should the requirement is custom program). I understand, this may be seen as more technical.
Lastly, my interest is on the strategy.
