Why is HCL delaying the offer letter?
Hi,
I'm currently having an offer from BlueOptima and Cohesity and am conflicted between the two.
I have offers in the SDET profile.
Cohesity Inc is providing me MTS and @BlueOptima is providing SDET-1.
Glassdoor reviews more of less place the two companies almost equally, and the package being offered by the two is almost in the same range.
My preferences include:
Learning opportunities in the role.
Company's work environment.
Company's growth prospects, are also a consideration.
YOE: 2 years

BAH sucks. Stay away!
It’s a great firm if you’re looking for a slower pace of life/strong work-life balance in the DMV. That being said: the projects are usually boring, pay is lower, growth opportunities are limited, and it’s frustrating if you’re used to a more engaging work environment
I’ve worked at both BAH and Deloitte, BAH is a way more laid back culture with limited firm initiatives but also slower career growth
I enjoy BAH, the benefits here really do lead in the sector (minus MBB), rarely work over 40 hours a week, I do miss traveling for work (came from commercial).
What I dislike: the pace of clients, projects, just in general. Projects are long, sometimes years, you can jump around if you get burnt out, pay is generally lower than commercial/other fed firms due to the size, and raises are...eh
That being said, I enjoy it here, my team and project team is awesome, and see myself here for at least a few years until I move back to commercial.
Just left. They basically never fire anyone, but less 💰 too. And having come from (and returned to) commercial the pace is infuriatingly slow and I didn’t enjoy that so much. But a lot of great people are there. I enjoyed being involved in a lot of volunteer activities and had a lot of fun with my team.
So one of the roles I’m looking at is a strategy position for MENA that specifically calls for extensive travel. Any idea if the pace will still be similar to US Govt projects? I’m coming from commercial as well and wouldn’t love a slow pace
BAH international work is intense and all hours so requires adaptive and driven folks that enjoy multiple roles and odd hours
