At the beginning of this year I took a training class to get certified for Phlebotomy. Passed the class in January and passed the exam back in March. There were quit a few jobs initially, then after passing my exam it was like they all disapeared now there are hardly any, and what I do find (pt and ft) you need 6 mths to 2 yrs experience at minimum and an MA certification. How can can I get my foot in the door? I NHCO cert. Should study for NHA and take that? Any info is greatly appreciated.

You can apply to clinics that have high turnover. These clinics often need staff urgently, so you may have a better chance of getting hired. It’s a good way to gain experience.

I didn't think of that, thank you.

Id still apply to whatever phlebotomy listings you come across! Better to apply than to miss out.

Would have to finance the whole thing myself. Current net worth is 140k. Thoughts?
