Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?
Hey people , how's annual hike in cisco ?
I had an interview with @cognizant all rounds done with HR AND Salary negotiation, after that I sent an email to them related to my offer status. However, they replied me as, we have kept you on hold etc.
And now @cognizant hr called me 3 times for job opening, and I have told them my offer is on hold. Now, they have scheduled interview. Is it for same or new. It's really confusing for me.
If they release old offer what we have discussed or they will interview me again

Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Millionth year senior + 1. Female. NYC. 70 cent on the dollar to the highest male
millionth year senior, male at a nyc firm was being paid $130k.
Which location ? And what field ?
They're locked into bands based on practice, geography, and experience. If you're new, you may be able to swing up the band initially by negotiating, but I guarantee you that you will be level-set next year. Nobody strays too far from the average for more than a year. If you're not new, a change in what they told you almost never happens. They aren't in the business of setting a precedent for negotiating salaries year after year.
I think I can beat the band short term. These guys are short on staff going into busy season, and I definitely have the experience to justify going above the band.
What makes you think you deserve the highest?
Agree both counts and you can't beat the band long term
Strategy s3 should be around $120k at pwc. You are probably not strategy and not qualified to come in as s3 though.
Agree with EY1 and others - you need to make your case on your own merit. Knowing the highest possible won’t even start the conversation
4th year seniors (aka the guys who didn’t have a business case for manager promotion) - Risk Assurance in Dallas paid $104k (highest end of our salary band last year, starting at $72k).
