Basically an in house strategy/transformation consultant (easiest way to describe my role) at a good asset manager. Am doing well in my position but am interested to do something more analytical or at least bring more analytics into what I’m doing. Naturally good analytically but don’t have a lot of experience to show for it besides engineering at uni so pivoting is hard. Don’t want to downlevel if I did pivot. Any recommendations?

Start making some connections with people in that group at your current firm. Transitioning internally is almost always easier than trying to get your foot in the door for a role you're inexperienced in at an external company.

Do an analytics certification and/or identify opportunities within your current role to put the skills to use even if it means working on a project with a more analytical mandate just have a project that you can then showcase to target employers.

Certification will really help if you want to change careers. And, yes I agree with A1. You need to make some connections as early as possible.

Looking for advice! I was approved to work remotely but my salary will decrease 10%. I received two raises so the decrease brings me down to my previous salary. I was told that it’s due to the cost of labor in the area.

I’ve been with my company for 8+ yrs, I love my manager and the work I do (engagement, recognition, & wellness programs) but I feel like I’m limiting myself since I have the experience, an HRM degree, and SHRM-CP credentials.

Should I apply for roles outside the company?
