Beautiful Zind-Humbrecht Riesling with a lovely long finish and petrol/honey/grapefruit notes.

Can someone recommend a nice restaurant with good food and cocktails with a nice view close to Hyatt Grand Central in NYC? I know it’s very specific but I have a friend first time in the city and it’s a short stay so just want to have a nice time catching up while enjoying the view of the city.

Roasted Okra Poppers - This is an accidental recipe I came up with today. I wanted a savory snack but didn’t have chips or popcorn in the house. There was frozen okra in the fridge which my husband had mistaken for green beans. Okra is not my favorite vegetable because of its slimy texture but roasted it has a crispy texture and caramelized nutty flavor. Recipe success!

Is genetic carrier screening prior to starting an ivf cycle necessary? I tested and found some disorders. Now my RE won’t start my cycle until my partner is tested. They are saying they will have to do special PGT tests if we are carriers of the same disorder. I am confused. I thought this type of testing was optional and usually recommended if you are using a donor. My guess is that they are booked and pushing me to the Jan cycle. Thoughts?

Tried this Santorini retailing for $40. Very concentrated but can’t say I was blown away by it. Volcanic terroir dominates almost to the point of obscurity, and it had strong lemon notes, hints of quince, and sea salt. It clashed with Mexican food (hey I knew that beforehand but didn’t think it would clash THAT bad, and usually pair Mexican with Riesling or Gewürztraminer) but I’m going to Greece soon and wanted to drink Greek wine. I drank half at a BYOB, took the bottle home(cont’d)
