Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Go in-house outside of government.
DC market is flooded with ppl been DOGEd.
NY
People leave firm life for the work life balance that government provides. Government pay will never compare to firm pay. In house might be better, but I hear even that is organization specific. Ultimately what matters most to you?
I like the WLB I have for the most part, but I have a micromanager for a boss who might as well be a BL partner
Any way you can ask for a raise at your current spot!
Do it anyway, what’s there to lose? They say no? Ok…
If you can’t go in house, consider firm life for a period of time to get your finances where you want them comfortably and then find something with the WLB you want.
What is your practice area? It’s difficult to say what your exit options are without that information. A prosecutor has different options than a staff attorney at the SSA, for example.
It seems to me you’d be a strong candidate for an in-house role. If I was in your shoes and looking for a change, I’d either go in-house or try to find a different, higher paying job in government (federal jobs often pay higher).
