I’m actively searching & looking for a new strategist position since my current agency is mismanaging not only myself but the relationship with the client. It’s a dumpster fire.

I’m wondering what questions I should look out for and be aware of as I find myself getting past the HR screens pretty quickly.

My current CTC is : 20L
Offered CTC in gurgaon is : 31L + relocation expenses
Since I have never been to gurgaon, hence i am trying to understand the cost of living in gurgaon also is it wise decision for me to move gurgaon?

I’ve been getting invaluable experience at a boutique litigation firm. The only things is, the firm hasn’t evolved with work culture. The official policy is that everyone WFH one day each week with no choice of which day. Sometimes I’ll work from home more than one day a week and when I do, I feel paranoid because when I’m in the office, the partners will “walk the halls.” I would appreciate more flexibility and have a big law interview scheduled. I am an hourly employee. Currently if there is a hospital call that needs to be done, someone will volunteer to do it for overtime. Now, my company wants to create a set call schedule. There is an area behind my house where dogs are allowed to be off-leash. I get that, but today I had an experience that this woman’s boxer was constantly chasing me and jumping on me, she could not get control of it. Even as I kept walking away to get to an opening in the fence to get away. It was scary. I don’t know as I’m not a dog owner but shouldn’t they be trained not to do this?

I’m moving from NY to NJ this weekend. I made the change in my company’s intranet so my paycheck is updated accordingly. 5 minutes later, I get an email from my manager asking if I think we need to reach out to HR to negotiate a cost of living adjustment.
